A Menu That Begins
in the Pasture

The Winshaw eatery doesn't import its story — it grows it. The beef on your plate was raised on the same land your table overlooks. The eggs came from hens that rotated through the orchard this morning. The kitchen draws a short line from the farm to the plate, and stops there.

Tables are set under century-old oaks. The menu shifts with the seasons, the herd, and the garden — not with a marketing calendar. There are no tour scripts and no corporate menus. Just good food, made honestly.

01 · The Meat

From the Herd to the Hearth

Winshaw's grass-fed cattle graze the farm year-round. The on-site butchery processes every cut — nothing is outsourced, nothing is frozen on arrival. What goes into the kitchen was walking the veld days before it reaches the grill.

02 · The Eggs

Pasture-Raised, Every Morning

Free-range hens rotate across cover-crop pastures between the vine rows. Their eggs have deep-orange yolks and a richness that doesn't come from a barn. When they're on the menu, you'll know why.

03 · The Kitchen

Seasonal, Unscripted, Real

The menu is written around what the farm produces each week. Some dishes have been on for years. Others appear once. The kitchen doesn't pad the menu to seem larger — it cooks what it has, and it's better for it.

Winshaw eatery table spread

One of the most genuine wine farm experiences in the Cape. The food, the setting, the wines — everything felt completely real.
